Events overview

Create and share club activities, from a one-off dinner to a weekly meetup, with RSVP, ticket sales, recurring schedules, and eligibility rules.

Events let you create and share activities with your club members, from a one-off club dinner to a weekly meetup, and optionally sell tickets to them. You can use events for club-wide activities or keep personal events private for your own schedule.

Administrators manage all club events from Admin > Events.

Event types

Events have three visibility levels:

Club Event
Visible on the club calendar to all members. Only members with the Manage Events permission can create club events.

Public (Personal event)
Visible on your personal calendar and can be shared with others outside the club. Useful for personal training plans or social arrangements.

Private (Personal event)
Only visible on your own calendar. Useful for personal reminders or events you don't want other members to see.

Recurring events

Events can be set to repeat on a schedule: daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. You can configure how often the event repeats and when the recurrence ends (never, after a set number of occurrences, or until a specific date).

Location

You can add a location to any event:

  • Address: a text address or venue name, searchable via Google Maps Places.
  • Map pin: a precise GPS location shown as an interactive map on the event detail page.
  • What3Words: an optional What3Words address for locations that are hard to find by street address.

RSVP

Club events can optionally allow members to RSVP. When enabled, members can mark themselves as Going, Maybe, or Not Going. The attendee list is visible on the event page. See RSVP for details.

Ticket sales

Club events can also sell tickets, charging members through the same payment provider already configured for the club. This is separate from RSVP: an event can use RSVP, ticket sales, both, or neither. See Tickets for details.

Eligibility rules

You can restrict who is allowed to buy tickets to a club event using eligibility rules, for example by age, gender, or required group membership. See Eligibility rules for details.

Cancelling an event

Administrators with the Manage Events permission can cancel an event, including individual occurrences of a recurring event, at any time. See Cancelling events for details.
