Cycling admin has a rhythm other sports do not share. Rides go out in groups by ability, each needs a leader and a sensible cap, and the whole thing can be called off at seven in the morning because the roads are icy. Whatever system you use has to make that easy, or it gets bypassed and everything moves to a chat group where nobody knows who is actually coming.

Kit is the other perennial. Club kit runs in batches, with a supplier minimum, a long lead time, and a set of sizes you need pinned down before the order closes. Run it as a shop product with size variations and a closing date, take the money upfront, and export the list when the window shuts.
