Soon, your members will be able to check out faster and more securely with their favorite digital wallets—whether they're on mobile or desktop. Alongside this launch, we've migrated to the latest Square Payment API and given the payment page a fresh, streamlined look.
What's New
✅ No setup required: We're rolling out Apple Pay and Google Pay automatically to all clubs over the next couple of weeks.
✅ Same pricing: Transactions via Apple Pay and Google Pay are charged at the same rate as physical cards, so there's no change to your fees.
✅ Zero disruption: Any existing memberships or passes will continue to work and renew as usual—no interruptions, no extra work for you.

Rollout & Compatibility
We're gradually enabling Apple Pay and Google Pay for all Square clubs over the next two weeks. Once live, members will automatically see wallet options at checkout based on their browser and device.

If a member's device or browser doesn't support a digital wallet, they'll still see the standard card entry form.
Fast Facts
- Do I need to do anything? Nothing. We've handled the rollout end-to-end.
- Will existing payment methods still work? Yes. All recurring memberships and passes continue uninterrupted.
- Are there extra fees? No. Wallet transactions use the same rate as physical cards.
- Can I use Apple Pay or Google Pay for recurring payments? For clubs using Stripe, yes! If you're using Square, not yet. Square's current API only supports single-use tokens for digital wallets. We'll update you if recurring support becomes available.
- How are refunds and disputes handled? Exactly the same way as regular card payments—no changes there.
- Should I update my privacy policy? There's no requirement, but it's always good practice to keep your policies up to date with any new payment options.
