Classic portlets
How to edit the pages that still use the older inline portlet editor, and which pages those are.
A few built-in pages are still edited with an older style of editable content called a portlet. A portlet is a single editable section on the page, edited inline, rather than a page built from separate blocks.
Note
Portlets are being replaced by the page editor. Your content pages and your homepage already use it, and the pages below will follow. Nothing you have written will need moving when they do.
Which pages still use a portlet

Each of these has a default wording, so the page reads sensibly before you edit anything.
Editing a portlet
- Navigate to the page.
- Click Edit Page in the toolbar (available to users with the Manage Content permission).
- Use the portlet's toolbar, in its top-right corner, to edit the content.

| Pencil icon | Starts editing the portlet, opening the rich text editor. |
| Check mark icon | Saves your changes and stops editing this portlet. |
| X icon | Discards your changes and reverts to the original content. |
| Trash icon | Deletes the portlet. Only available on certain portlets. |
Notes:
- Only one portlet can be edited at a time.
- The Done Editing button is disabled while a portlet is open for editing.
- If you try to leave the page with unsaved changes, you will be warned.
Permissions
Editing portlets requires the Manage Content permission, the same permission used for content pages.
