Teamer is shutting down

A free app is closing, and nothing exports

On Wednesday 5 August 2026 Pitchero emailed every Teamer organiser to say the platform will close on Monday 5 October 2026. Their reason, in their own words, is that they are "unable to make the level of long-term investment required to continue operating Teamer sustainably" and are focusing on Pitchero and PitcheroGPS instead.

The part that catches most clubs out is not the date. It is that there is no way to get your data out. Pitchero's own FAQ says plainly: "Unfortunately, there are no export tools to make a team's events and members lists portable to a new system." After 5 October your member list, your event history and your messages are simply gone, and that includes contact details you may be relying on for safeguarding or membership records.

Some of it is already happening. New app downloads, new user registrations, new team creations and new payment provider links have all been switched off ahead of the closure, so a club cannot sign up a new player for this season on Teamer even today. That is the real deadline, not October.

What it costs

The numbers, as far as they are public

There is no cost table on this page, because there is no honest one to build. Teamer was free, its Premium tier is being cancelled during September 2026 to stop billing rolling into October, and comparing our fees against a product that will not exist in six weeks would be a sales trick rather than a comparison. What we can do is state ours plainly, so you can weigh it against whichever replacement you are considering, ours or anybody else's.

If your club took payments through Teamer, check your Premium billing before the end of September rather than assuming the cancellation lands cleanly, and make sure any money owed to the club has settled out before the platform closes.

Teamer pricing checked on 28 August 2026, when none was published. Verify directly with them before making a decision on cost alone.

What switching actually involves

1. Save your member list before 5 October

Nothing exports, so this has to be done by hand and it has to be done first. Our step-by-step guide covers exactly which screens hold what, with a spreadsheet template to fill in.

2. Set up your teams as sessions

A Teamer team becomes a ClubPal session with its own capacity, so the Saturday availability question works the way your players already expect.

3. Import the list you saved

Send us the spreadsheet and we will map the columns and clean it with you, so the typing you did once is the only typing you do.

4. Move everyone across while Teamer still works

ClubPal is free to use, so run both until your members have settled in. Do it before October rather than after, while you can still see your Teamer data to check against.
