ClubPal

Supported browsers

The browsers ClubPal works in, what to do if your club site looks wrong or unstyled, and how to update.

ClubPal works in any current web browser on a computer, phone or tablet. It is designed for browsers from 2023 or later:

BrowserVersion
Chrome111 or later
Edge111 or later
Safari on a Mac16.4 or later
iPhone and iPad (every browser)iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later
Firefox128 or later
Samsung Internet22 or later

Apps that open links inside themselves, like Facebook, Instagram or your email app, use your phone's own browser, so they follow the same versions.

If you see a message saying your browser is too old

Your browser is too old for ClubPal to style its pages, which means older than Safari 15.4, Chrome 99 or Firefox 97 (from early 2022). The page may look like plain text and links. You can still use it, but it will be harder to find your way around.

To fix it, update your browser, or open ClubPal in a different one.

Updating your browser

  • Chrome: open the menu (three dots), choose Help, then About Google Chrome. Chrome updates itself and asks you to relaunch.
  • Edge: open the menu (three dots), choose Help and feedback, then About Microsoft Edge.
  • Firefox: open the menu (three lines), choose Help, then About Firefox.
  • Safari on a Mac: Safari updates with macOS. Open System Settings, then General, then Software Update.
  • iPhone and iPad: every browser on an iPhone or iPad uses the same engine as Safari, so the version that matters is iOS or iPadOS itself. Open Settings, then General, then Software Update.
  • Android: open the Play Store, search for your browser (Chrome or Samsung Internet), and tap Update.
Note

Some older devices cannot update any further: an iPhone 6s or 7 stops at iOS 15, a Mac from before 2017 may not get recent versions of Safari, and Windows 7 and 8 stop at Chrome 109 and Firefox 115. ClubPal still works on these, with small differences in how some pages look, as long as the browser is at least Safari 15.4, Chrome 99 or Firefox 97. Older than that, you will see the message above: use another device if you can.
