New features
Events & ticketing (preview)
Create and share events with your club, from a one-off club dinner to a weekly recurring meetup, and optionally sell tickets to them.
- Club, Public, or Private visibility, with support for one-off and recurring schedules (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly).
- RSVP: members can mark themselves Going, Maybe, or Not Going, with an attendee list on the event page.
- Ticket sales: charge for tickets through your existing payment provider, with capacity limits and custom ticket form fields.
- Eligibility rules to control who can RSVP or buy tickets, matching the rules already available on passes, products, and sessions.
- Cancel Event, including partial cancellation of a recurring series, with optional refunds and a notification email.
This is a preview feature and may change before general release. Contact the ClubPal team if you'd like it enabled for your club.
Swap a booking to a different session
Members can no longer make a session they've booked? They can now swap it to a different session instead of cancelling and rebooking, avoiding a second card payment and payment provider fee. ClubPal checks that the new session is eligible (same club, open booking window, same price or less), refunds any difference automatically, and keeps a swap history on the booking. Admins, session leaders, and coaches can also swap a booking on a member's behalf.
A new block-based page editor
Content pages have a new editor built from sections and blocks (headings, text, images, and dividers) arranged in flexible column layouts (full width, two or three equal columns, or a 30/70 split). Drag blocks to reorder them, add a banner image to any top-level page, and roll back to an earlier version at any time with version history.
Blogs
Publish a stream of dated posts (club news, match reports, a members' newsletter) separate from your static content pages. Run more than one blog, each with its own web address, and assign editors who can manage posts without needing full content-management access.
Media: photos and videos on every session
Sessions now have a Media tab where admins and coaches can share photos and videos with members. Drag and drop files straight onto the tab, browse everything in a fullscreen lightbox, and see upload progress on large files as they're chunked and uploaded reliably.
Re-enable membership auto-renewal
Members who previously turned off auto-renewal can now turn it back on themselves, from either their Account page or the public Membership page, instead of asking an admin to do it for them.
Discount codes for products and facility hire
Discount codes now apply to Store products in addition to memberships and passes, and can also be redeemed against facility hire bookings.
Improvements
Add to Wallet button on the purchase confirmation page
Members buying a membership now see the Add to Apple Wallet or Add to Google Wallet button right on the purchase confirmation page, so they can add their card straight after joining instead of finding it later on their membership card page.
Session leader and coach access
Members assigned as a session leader, or booked on as a coach, can now edit, manage bookings for, and view attendee details on the sessions they lead or coach, without needing the full Manage Sessions permission.
Stock tracking in the Store
Products with inventory tracking now reserve stock as it's added to a member's cart and show an out-of-stock state once inventory runs out, so two members can't both check out with the last unit.
Bug fixes
- Fixed notification emails for forms that allow anonymous responses showing "Anonymous" for a submitter who was actually logged in.
- The Admin > Facility Hire > Bookings date range filter now defaults to forward-looking presets (Next 7 Days, Next 28 Days, Next 90 Days), matching the fact that bookings are always for a future date.
As always, if you run into anything unexpected or have a feature request, get in touch, we'd love to hear from you.
