# Store options

> The store settings at Admin > Settings > Store, and the other settings that decide what your shop looks like.

The Store has two settings of its own, at **Admin > Settings > Store**, reachable with the **Manage Store** permission. Everything else about how your shop looks and behaves is set on the products themselves, or on the Store page.

## Configuration settings

**Enable Store**
Turns the shop on. With it on, a **Store** item appears in your site navigation and every product with **Show In Store** enabled is listed there. With it off, the menu item disappears, the Store page itself returns a not found page, and members lose the **Orders** section of their account.

Turning it off does not delete anything. Products, orders and their history all survive, and come back exactly as they were when you turn it back on. A direct link to an individual product still opens while the Store is off, so use **Show In Store**, an **Available End Date**, or archiving to retire a product rather than relying on this setting to hide one.

**Order Confirmation Message**
The message shown to a member on the confirmation page once their payment has gone through. Use it for what happens next: where to collect, when the next kit order goes in, who to contact about sizing.

If you leave it alone it reads: "Thank you, your order is now complete. We have emailed a confirmation of your order to your registered email address."

> **Note**
>
> Enabling the Store does not, by itself, let anyone buy anything. Orders are paid at the checkout, so a [payment provider](https://www.clubpal.app/docs/payments/overview) has to be connected first. Until one is, the Store admin pages show a banner offering to set one up.
