# Emails overview

> How email works in ClubPal, covering the messages you send to members yourself and the transactional emails the platform sends automatically.

ClubPal includes a built-in email system that lets administrators and coaches send emails to members directly from the platform. In addition to manual emails, ClubPal automatically sends a range of transactional emails (such as booking confirmations, payment receipts, and membership notifications) on your behalf.

## Sending emails manually

There are two ways to send emails manually:

- **Quick Compose**: a lightweight form that can be launched from several places in the platform without leaving your current page. Ideal for quickly messaging a session group or an individual member.
- **Full Editor**: a full-featured compose screen with additional options including email type, attachments, and scheduled sending. Available at **Admin > Emails > Compose**.

## Automated emails

ClubPal sends a range of emails automatically when events occur on the platform, covering session bookings, payments, membership activations, and more.

## Email configuration

Administrators can configure the email system, including enabling or disabling emails, setting a reply-to address, and configuring the welcome email sent to new members.
